“This is huge! Thanks to Green Standards and its corporate partners, we were able to launch a first rate Neighborhood Resource Center and completely furnish a computer lab, library, conference room and set up offices for 7 employees,” said Richard Logan, President and CEO of Attack Poverty.
“People have already sat on these chairs and at these tables and have done some serious work looking at their life and discovering the next step toward employment, financial management and GED completion.”
The large donation of office furniture, equipment and supplies, made through Green Standards program by a Fortune 50 Oil and Gas company, included chairs, desks, tables, whiteboards and supplies that have been put to good use in the community.
“This gift in-kind may just look like a desk, or a chair, or a whiteboard but they are so much more; they are being used as tools for transformation in the lives of individuals and families who are realizing that they have value and the cycle of generational poverty can be broken!” said Richard.
