Solution
Sustainable real estate is a key plank of Charles Schwab‘s environmental strategy. So as the investment leader designed a long-term plan to revitalize their corporate offices while reducing their carbon footprint, a partnership with Green Standards made good sense. By managing, measuring, maximizing positive impact across more than 15 projects, we’ve helped Charles Schwab fulfill thier ambitious goals.
Green Standards took responsibility for the entire process; from onboarding and managing commercial movers, to engaging local non-profits, coordinating and documenting asset delivery, and providing environmental and community impact reporting.
Result
Charles Schwab has deployed Green Standards services nationwide, including notable projects in San Francisco, Omaha, Phoenix, Southlake, Denver, and Reno. Overall, these projects have achieved a landfill diversion rate of 95%.
Through this partnership, Charles Schwab and Green Standards have to date diverted more than 1,600 tons of waste from landfills, resulting in 5,192 metric tons of carbon emissions avoided. We also facilitated in-kind donations of more than $300,000 worth of furniture to 61 non-profit beneficiaries in the communities where Charles Schwab operates.
