When a major insurance company was renovating its offices in Wisconsin, it worked with Green Standards to donate surplus furniture to local non-profits. One beneficiary was the Boys & Girls Club of Greater Green Bay, which used the donated items to revitalize their teen spaces. A large conference table was put to use in a teen program room to facilitate discussion and collaboration, and other tables and chairs are now used to play board games.
“We are very grateful to be recipients of high-quality, durable office furniture that we know has years of life left. Green Standards’ program is a win-win: they help companies keep furniture they no longer need out of the landfill, and they help nonprofits such as the Boys & Girls Club enhance their spaces and free up dollars to spend on services.”
