As a newly Certified B Corporation, Clark Nuber partnered with another B Corporation, Green Standards, to ensure its surplus furniture, equipment, and supplies were kept out of landfill as they moved from 48,000 square feet across two and a half floors.

The team at Clark Nuber, an award-winning Certified Public Accounting and consulting firm located in the Seattle Metro area, was determined to keep as much out of landfills as possible during their recent relocation. Working with Green Standards on the sustainable decommission of their former office in downtown Bellevue was a natural fit. Green Standards facilitated furniture donations and arranged specialized recycling, while giving back to local non-profits and community organizations.

We were thrilled with the outcome. For the items we couldn’t repurpose in our new space, we needed a partner who truly understood our mission to keep items out of landfills – and could deliver. Green Standards worked very efficiently to achieve our goals and we were able to support organizations right in our community.

B Corps Green Standards and Clark Nuber collaborate to keep furniture in use and out of landfills when moving headquarters within Bellevue, Washington.

Dimmitt Middle School

“The donation included plush chairs, beautiful tables and desks, and additional furniture pieces to advance student voice, such as a podium necessary to practice their mock trial scripts and other IB academic tasks. This donation has significantly transformed our learning spaces, as observed by scholars and families who visit the classroom. Scholars are mesmerized by the comfort of the seats, cleanliness and sturdiness of the furniture, and take pride in being able to learn with the incredible resources provided. The furniture pieces create flexible, modern environments that advance collaboration, creativity, and comfort for all scholars.”
